At Camp Jubilee we believe in providing a safe environment for children to flourish by making new friends, exploring new activities and gaining independence. If each camper is involved in a video game/texting then they are not engaging in the world around them. You can call our office to get updates on your campers to ease your mind and if your camper has a problem and needs to get in touch, we will facilitate a phone call. The point of camp is to get away from normal, daily life. We want children to enjoy the summer and have a chance to “unplug” rather than having their thoughts dominated by the prospect of being able to use their phone during breaks.

I'm not sure if my child is a strong enough swimmer, how can you tell?

Each child is swim tested at camp. If they do not pass the swim test or opt out of it, then they must wear a life jacket at all times while swimming. Lifeguards are on duty while campers are swimming.

Can I email my Camper?

Yes! You can email your camper while they are at summer camp. Send emails to jubilee.camper@gmail.com and put your child’s first and last name in the subject line. Emails are printed out twice per camp session. Emails sent after 12pm on the second to last day of camp may not be received. Campers do not have access to email to respond.

Why do we have to sign in medication (any vitamins)?

Medication must be signed in to prevent a camper from taking too much, not enough or from another camper taking this medication. The Wellness Coordinator will administer medication according to the prescription or as directed by the parent/guardian upon sign in.

How long is the boat ride to camp? What island is it on?

The boat ride is about 45 minutes from Cates Park to Camp Jubilee. Camp Jubilee is not on an island; it is up Indian Arm but still on the mainland (at the base of Mt. Seymour). It is boat access only because the road does not go that far.
